We built Otto for ourselves.

Otto came to life to help us with a very concrete problem: figuring out exactly how many subscriptions we were paying for, which ones, and why. Then we took it to the next level — now it actually does all the work for you.

Financial inclusion for LATAM

The US has a mature open-banking ecosystem — apps like Rocket Money, Truebill, or Bobby read your bank transactions to manage subscriptions for you. That infrastructure doesn't exist in LATAM. Local banks don't expose standardised APIs, regulation varies country by country, and honestly most users don't want to give an app their online-banking credentials — the risk and friction it adds are enormous.

Otto goes another way. Instead of reading your bank account, it reads the billing emails you already receive — Netflix, Spotify, ChatGPT, your telecom carrier, everyone sends receipts to your inbox. We connect via Google's official OAuth (scoped read, you revoke anytime), and the AI model detects every recurring charge. Simpler, safer, and works the same in any country without depending on local bank infrastructure. Everyone has email.

Who's building it

A small team. No decisions about your inbox go through a committee.

Founder · Otto

I worked in marketing for subscription-based businesses and as CMO at a B2C SaaS — the side of the business where you design, every day, how to hook people into a subscription and how to keep them. Seeing that logic from the inside is what led me to build Otto.

What we believe

Privacy

Your inbox is yours

Otto only accesses transactional emails — receipts, renewals, price alerts. Never your personal or work mail. Your data stays in your account; we don't sell it, we don't share it.

Control

You approve every action

Otto shows you a preview of every cancellation, negotiation, or refund email before sending. Zero automated actions without your explicit go-ahead.

Security

No bank login, ever

We never ask for your bank password, your card, or access to your financial accounts. If a "subscription manager" app asks for any of that — walk away.
